On September 9th–10th, our team had an incredible time attending the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association (WMCA) 2025 Annual Convention at the Milwaukee Brewers’ American Family Field. It was a “blast” in every sense of the word!
A highlight of the event was a surprise visit from Bernie Brewer, who stopped by our recruitment table to learn more about the METAR study. Beyond the fun, our Principal Investigator (Kuo) engaged in numerous meaningful conversations with the community, gaining invaluable insights into the vital work and unique culture of the trucking industry.
This event served as a cornerstone for our community engagement efforts, allowing us to bridge the gap between academic research and the hardworking professionals who keep our economy and infrastructure moving. We are grateful for the warm welcome and the “energy” the WMCA members brought to our study!
